Barney and I love to just lounge on the sofa watching tv. He huddles on my chest, close to my neck as I give him scritches. Barney had is vet appointment yesterday. He is getting tested for pretty much everything just to be safe - liver profile, chlammydia (sp?), pacheco's disease, CBC, any bacterial infections, etc.he got his nails trimmed and his beak cleaned.the dr. said that knowing that he was on an all-seed diet, his feather condition was to be expected (it is not as healthy as it could be). and even though he

Barney is just such a wonderful bird. Every day when I come home from work, I take him out of his cage and we wander around my backyard garden together. Barney has been doing very well so far. I have not seen him drink from his water bowl yet (I will monitor this), but I have seen him pick through his food bowl. And, just as I hoped, Barney seems to be more bonded with me than with my husband.
